Coffee. Patience. Frustration. Late nights. More coffee, but it’s cold this time. Help. Opinions. Trial. Error. More error. Choices. Design. Pinterest. Home Goods. Joann’s. Coupons. Vision. Motivation. Stress. Exhaustion. Cleaning. Determination.

What do all these concepts have in common? They are some of the first things that came to mind when I was thinking of hard work and hustle. I took on the task of renovating my photography studio a little before Christmas. As usual, I bit off more than I can chew. I had no idea what I wanted to do but I knew the way it was, wasn’t working. Lately the word “peace” has been sitting with me a lot. Peace and tranquility. And that’s the vibe I wanted to feel when I am working in my studio.

The funny thing about all of this, is that I consider myself “decorationally challenged”. (Feel free to borrow that phrase, I made it myself!) But once I started working on it, things seemed to fall together, and I’m super proud. I want to thank my Aunt Laurie, who probably wants to throw her phone out the window for the amount of screenshots I’ve sent her!

I also want to thank my sweet husband who was voluntold (another word I made up) that this was going to happen, and for the purpose of letting me fulfill my dreams, relinquished control of his entire man cave to my photography. I know that wasn’t an easy task.

I so much look forward to the next chapter in my photography journey, and I am so thankful I get to share it with all of you!!
