A fall family photo session is a great way to capture warm, cozy moments with loved ones. Here are some tips to make it perfect:
1. Location Ideas:
- Parks & Forests – Beautiful fall foliage as a backdrop.
- Lakeside or Creekside – Reflecting fall colors in the water.
- Open Fields – A golden, rustic aesthetic.
2. Outfit Ideas:
- Coordinated, Not Matching – Stick to a color palette like warm neutrals, earthy tones, or jewel tones (burgundy, mustard, forest green).
- Layers & Textures – Sweaters, scarves, flannels, and denim add depth to photos.
3. Best Time for Photos:
- Golden Hour (1-2 Hours Before Sunset) – Soft, warm lighting for a dreamy look.
- Overcast Days – Even lighting without harsh shadows.
- Morning Light – Crisp and fresh if you prefer an early start.
I had so much fun with these guys last fall for our annual fall mini session! These kiddos were SO playful and mom and dad had such a good time too!
