There’s something so special about photographing a family more than once. You get to watch their children grow, see their personalities develop, and capture the little moments that make their family uniquely theirs. Every session becomes a continuation of their story—and that is one of my favorite parts of being a family photographer.
This Wallingford, Connecticut fall mini session was especially meaningful because this is a family I’ve had the honor of photographing several times over the years. Each time I see them, I’m reminded of just how quickly time passes and how special it is to have photographs documenting each season of their lives.
We spent the evening at Gouevia Vineyard in Wallingford, Connecticut surrounded by the gorgeous fall foliage, tall grass, and sunshine. The setting was the perfect backdrop for a relaxed family session filled with connection, laughter, and plenty of sweet moments between them.
One of my favorite things about photographing returning families is that the photo sessions become less about posing and more about simply documenting who they are right now. The way the kids interact with their parents, the little laughs, the cuddles, and the in-between moments all tell a story that is completely their own.
As a family photographer, I love getting to grow alongside my clients and be invited back to document their lives again and again. From one session to the next, the changes may seem small—but when you look back through the photographs, you can see just how much has happened.
Wallingford, Connecticut Fall Mini Sessions are perfect for families looking for a relaxed, natural way to document their time together. Whether it’s your first session with me or you’ve been in front of my camera before, I would love to help capture this season of your family’s story.
